This riad has recently been fully renovated to combine modern facilities with traditional Moroccan decorative features. The renovation has been undertaken by an English company who have a strong track record of completing similar projects to an exceptionally high standard. As well as a local architect, local craftsmen and locally sourced materials have been used on the renovation. This includes traditional ‘tadlakt’ finishes in all of the en-suite bathrooms.
On the ground floor, the entrance corridor, with decorative archways and alcoves opens into the central courtyard which is surrounded with plants and traditional Arabic decor. There is a lounge with traditional Arab cushioned seating around a decorative waterfall. There are also two double, en-suite bedrooms and a fully fitted kitchen.
The first floor has three further double en-suite bedrooms plus a master suite, complete with hammam, where you can enjoy a relaxing steam bath and massage after a hard day's haggling in the souks. From the roof terrace, there are stunning 360 degree views across the medina, and towards the snow-capped Atlas mountains, an ideal setting for enjoying breakfast and drinks in the evening whilst watching the sun go down.
The renovation has been specifically undertaken to create a high quality guest house (maison d’hote) that meets all the necessary regulatory requirements, take full advantage of the growing tourist industry and
